The idea for this work came about when George W Bush spoke of the clash between east and west and called it a 'crusade'. The conflict between christianity and islam is an age old theme and seems to be caught in a never ending loop.

The 'Dear Leader' issued a decree stating that all males had to have the same haircut as him so I portrayed him under an atomic age hair dryer, in the salon.
